Magazine spread

This was one of our final projects for the second year, Editorial design. The brief was centred around global warming but we had to take our own approach to it. I chose nuclear power and went with quite a minimalist black and white feel.

Quite an early piece of work i produced for a university project, seemed appropriate to stick this in the blog considering my self promotion project will be the modification of language and text. Also its one of my favourite pieces that i'd like to get printed big one day

It's a start

The brief: 'It could be argued that everything you are likely to do professionally is a form of self promotion. Obvious self promotion can be off putting but good, clever original design ideas rarely fails to please. It is an opportunity for you to develop the kind of work which leaves the viewer with the 'I wish i had done that' reaction. It is about pushing yourself further and honing your skills in an area that interests you, but is work which sits well in the context of contemporary design.

Initial Thoughts : Something with words, letters, quotes, shapes, sayings, stories, TYPE.

Welcome to my new blog. I've decided to start from scratch and create a new blog.
