Minimal front cover

I really wanted to go minimal for the cover because I always struggle and end up cramming too much stuff on previous projects and it looks messy. The colours on the top are relevant to each story..and if you use your imagination..they could possibly spell the name of the mag

Contents page coming together

The contents page is coming together nicely, I wanted to do something with big numbers for this. The aim was to incorporate (or at least try to) all the elements of the magazine in this part. The colours, the different typefaces (mostly DIN and Barrister) the line work and the recurring theme of having pictures/text at an angle.

A few alterations

The top images has had some type added to it which takes up a lot of the empty space which didnt look right. The bottom image has had images added and the type altered.

Added some type over the picture but i'm not 100% sure about it

Images

Debating on what kind of picture I want in this article, I only have a few to choose from of Peng shuilin. Might go for a Bitmap feel with a hint of colour from the adjacent page

Needs some work on it but this a first draft for another story

Body copy

This is the nearly finished double spread page. The body copy on the right took ages to track and kern because i had to make sure it all lined up along the specific angle. happy with the result though

Magazine Spread Title Idea

This was something i pieced together using Didot, i've modified it a bit with some white lines and connected 'Mum' to 'Dad' to show the "Introducing" Needs fine tuning but i'm happy with it.

Maybe i should of handed this poster in for the sustainability brief
